Inglês para Médicos

O curso é projetado para os doutores, estudantes de Medicina e outros trabalhando na profissão médica. Pretende-se ajudar onde quer que o inglês seja um meio de uma comunicação. A primeira parte do curso aumenta o conhecimento da língua inglesa com uma revisão da maioria de aspectos importantes da gramática e do vocabulário. A segunda parte é construída em volta de um tema geral tal como dores de cabeça, gravidez, cardíaco que de ataque etc. A escrita é praticada para que melhorem a habilidade de apresentar a informação médica redigida em inglês. Os estudantes têm a oportunidade de visitar hospitais locais ou outras clínicas de saúde.

Community Health Care Program

Community health care diploma certification program. An intensive program designed to prepare you for such positions as Long-Term Care Aide (geriatric), Home Support Healthcare worker, Resident Care Attendant, Nurse's Aid and Special Needs Assistant.

The excellent training provided by highly qualified instructors, and the experience acquired during the seven weeks of practicum will equip you with the knowledge and confidence for a career in Care Giving.

You will complete a three-week practicum in the community and a four-week practicum in a long-term care facility to give them the hands-on experience that is crucial to getting a job.

With a comprehensive approach to community healthcare, you will become familiar with development disorders and the basic principals involved in special education within schools.

You will also gain an understanding of behavior management, non-violent in crisis intervention and the care of residents and clients with mental health disorders.With additional supporting skills development in the area of recreational therapy (including art & music therapy) and program planning, you will be well ready to assist in the organization of activities.

As graduates of the Community Healthcare Program, you will be prepared to function collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Medical Office Assistant Program

In the Medical Office Assistant Program, you will learn basic medical terminology and pharmacology, and be trained to prepare and administer basic medical office tests.

Students will learn to assess and prioritize patient appointment requests and respond to patients' basic questions about their medical condition and prescriptions.

In addition, you will learn general office procedures and administration including the use of medical billing software package. You will also receive First Aid and CPR training and certification.

This program maintains the highest possible level of standards and it keeps current with the industry and employers requirements.

Upon graduation, you are prepared to begin a career as an Admitting Clerk, Emergency Room Admitting Clerk, Medical Secretary, Medical Transcriptionist, Medical Receptionist, Medical Billing Clerk or Medical Office Assistant.

Medical Pharmacy Assistant Program

As a result of pharmacists taking a more active role in drug therapy and the counseling of their patients, the pharmacy assistant is becoming an increasingly essential position.

You will learn basic medical terminology and pharmacology, dispensing (community and hospital), inventory, billing, bookkeeping and administration, as well as customer service skills.

An intensive program designed to prepare graduates for such positions as Long-Term Care Aide (geriatric), Home Healthcare Worker, Residential Care Attendant or Nursing Aid.

The excellent training provided by highly qualified instructors, and the experience acquired during the seven weeks of clinical training will equip students with the knowledge and confidence for a career in care giving.


Each student will complete three-weeks of clinical training in intermediate care and four-weeks of clinical training in an extended care facility to give them the hands-on experience that is so crucial to getting a job.

Graduates of the Resident Care Attendant Program will be prepared to care for clients with special needs and to function collaboratively as members of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Upon successful completion of this program students will receive the following:

Early Childhood Education Program

With increasing demand over recent years, there is a need for qualified personnel to work with young children as Early Childhood Educators.

This program aims to develop those skills in you that are required for work in this rewarding field. When you take this program, you will be trained by industry experts in all of the major areas required for Early Childhood Educator Certification.

In addition to specified weeks of observation and practicum, observation assignments are integrated into coursework to ensure a balanced combination of theory and practice starting from the very first module.

The modular format of the Vancouver Career College ECE Program will definitely give you a real advantage in pursuing this career.

Upon completion of the first ECE module, students can apply for an assessment letter to become an Assistant through the Early Childhood Education Registry.

You can then work or volunteer part-time as they are training to complete the additional 500 hours of experience in the field required for licensing.

Employment opportunities in this field range from those in the profit and non-profit sector and include day care centres, parent participation preschools, nursery schools, integrated day cares, preschools and family service centres.
